Biography

Tommy Bridewell is one of the most established riders on the Bennetts British Superbike Championship grid, having started his career in the British paddock in the 125 class, finishing fourth in the 2003 title fight.

In 2005, he made the switch to the one-make Virgin Mobile Cup, where he secured the runner-up spot in the title battle before moving into the British Supersport series.

It wasn’t long though before Bridewell broke through into Superbike action and in 2007 he made his debut in the class, before switching to the Italian Championship in 2008, however despite an injury, he celebrated third place in the final standings.

Bridewell then returned to Bennetts British Superbike Championship competition and continued to build momentum, before securing third place in the 2014 title fight with the Milwaukee Yamaha team.

Since then Bridewell has continued to be a podium contender and race winner in Bennetts BSB, including fighting for the title in 2019 at the season finale at Brands Hatch, before ending third overall for the Oxford Products Racing Ducati team.

In 2020, Bridewell secured seventh place in the overall standings, and remained with the Oxford Products Racing Ducati team for his 2021 campaign, which he followed with his best season to date with the team as they finished runner-up in the title fight.

Bridewell moved to Paul Bird's PBM team for 2023 and has excelled to be in title contention from the start of the season.
