Peter Hickman is one of the most widely recognised riders in the Bennetts British Superbike Championship, having competed within the series for the majority of his career, and has more race starts than any other rider on the 2021 grid.
Hickman began racing in Minimoto before competing in club level competition, he then entered the British Championship paddock in 2004, and instantly celebrated victory in the National Superstock 1000 Cup.
Making his Bennetts British Superbike Championship debut in 2006, Hickman then moved back into the Pirelli National Superstock Championship in 2008, finishing third in the title fight.
In 2009 Hickman finished second place in the Superbike Cup class, before campaigning in the main Championship, where most recently he has secured a position in the Showdown three times, with a best finish of fourth place overall in 2017.
Hickman continued to be a podium contender in 2022 but had a tough season in 2023 and he remains with the FHO Racing BMW team for the 2024 season.
