Danny Buchan began racing in national motocross, before switching to club racing in 2007 and then made the step into the British Championship paddock in 2010 when he joined the Pirelli National Pirelli National Junior Superstock Championship.
Buchan then moved into the Superstock 1000 class where he celebrated title victory in 2014, before being promoted into the Bennetts British Superbike Championship a year later.
After two seasons in the premier class, he returned to the Superstock grid and sealed his second title victory in 2017.
A move back into the Superbike class came in 2018, finishing in eleventh place overall before he returned a year later, to qualify for the Showdown for the first time and end the campaign in fourth place overall.
Buchan was a top ten finisher in the overall standings in 2020, switching to BMW for the first time in his career last after signing for the SYNETIQ BMW team.
Together they were Showdown contenders and race winners, finishing seventh overall in the standings and return again in 2022.
