We are saddened to hear that the legendary broadcaster Murray Walker has passed away. He was a true motorsport fan, with an unrivalled passion and knowledge.
Whilst probably best known for his many years in Formula 1, motorcycles were his first love, following in the footsteps of his father Graham, a successful rider and broadcaster.
Murray’s motorcycling commentary portfolio ranged from Grands Prix to Grasstrack and it was always a pleasure whenever he visited a BSB event, he would regularly come to the Thruxton round, close to his home.
Murray also provided the supercharged soundtrack to the 2012 and 2013 “I, Superbiker” BSB season review movies.
Our thoughts are with his family and many friends.
Thank you Murray Walker for your immense contribution to motorsport, rest in peace.
