As the Bennetts British Superbike Championship prepares for its return to the TT Circuit Assen in September (September 19/20/21), local contender Jaimie van Sikkelerus visited the circuit to meet officials during their training day at the Dutch track.
van Sikkelerus returns with TAG Honda this season in Bennetts BSB, and he met with officials and took part in an interview during the event, returning from his training camp in Spain for the occasion. The Dutch contender recounted stories from his career including his background in motocross, Supermoto and of course Supersport and Superbike, the impact of cancer surgery and also his motivations and hopes for the forthcoming season.
van Sikkelerus said: “It was great to be at the Assen circuit for the event. We had a very special and personal interview and met the officials on their training day. Maybe it might seem a bit crazy to fly to the Netherlands for a 20 minute interview, but I wanted to show my level of respect to the officials as without them we can’t race.”
