Bradley Ray continued to show impressive pace during the R&G Official Test at Oulton Park as the Raceways Yamaha rider closed to within 0.035s of the fastest ever Bennetts British Superbike lap at the Cheshire circuit in the penultimate session.
Ray was 0.633s ahead of Glenn Irwin as the Hager PBM Ducati rider also lapped within the race lap record to hold second, moving ahead of defending champion Kyle Ryde on the OMG Nitrous Competitions Racing Yamaha.
Leon Haslam was fourth fastest for the Moto Rapido Ducati Racing team with Danny Kent completing the top five for McAMS Racing Yamaha.
Charlie Nesbitt was sixth fastest for MasterMac Honda ahead of Honda Racing UK’s Tommy Bridewell as he moved up the order ahead of AJN Steelstock Kawasaki teammates Christian Iddon and Max Cook respectively. Andrew Irwin completed the top ten for Honda Racing UK.
