Tommy Bridewell surged to the top of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship Free Practice times at Snetterton this afternoon as the Honda Racing UK rider topped the opening session by 0.384s from Christian Iddon.
Bridewell set the pace to hold the advantage, meanwhile Glenn Irwin ended the session third fastest despite a small crash at Palmers towards the start of the opening Free Practice.
Home hero Ryan Vickers was fourth fastest for the OMG GRILLA Yamaha Racing team ahead of Danny Kent and Jason O'Halloran as four different manufacturers completed the top five.
Kyle Ryde was seventh fastest, as Max Cook separated the two MasterMac Honda riders, who completed the top ten.
Leon Haslam was another rider to crash out during the early stages of the session, the ROKiT BMW Motorrad rider visited the medical centre afterwards and missed the remainder of the session.
