Nikki Coates claimed the first ABK Beer 0% BMW Motorrad F 900 R Cup victory after a battle with Thomas Strudwick in the closing laps of the opening race of the day at Donington Park.
Coates and Strudwick are now level on points ahead of the second Main Event race this afternoon with Barry Burrell completing the podium after he got the better of James Ellison in the final laps, whilst Kieran Smith completing the top five.
