Ben Currie ended Day One at Cadwell Park on top after banking a 1min 32.442sec lap before the heavens opened during FP2.
The Oxford Products Racing rider went 0.232secs clear of Honda Racing UK’s Jack Kennedy before the rain returned to stop anyone else going any quicker.
Luke Stapleford was third quickest, as this morning’s fastest rider, Alastair Seeley had to settle for fourth ahead of Joe Sheldon-Shaw.
In the Cup class, ROKiT Rookie Mikey Hardie returned to form after sitting out most of this morning’s session, leading the class as he finished the day 13th overall, with Cameron Hall second and Joe Farragher third, while Keo Walker led the GP2 class.
