Fraser Rogers set the pace in a damp opening Bennetts British Superbike Championship Free Practice at Cadwell Park this morning as the TAG Honda rider led the pack before a crash at Barn ended his session prematurely.
Roger went to the top of the times at the midway point of the session to displace reigning champion Tommy Bridewell from the top, but in the final 20 minutes Christian Iddon also improved his pace to move into second to ease the Honda Racing UK rider into third.
Josh Brookes had a strong start to Free Practice to lead the BMW charge in fourth place just ahead of Charlie Nesbitt who bounced back from a crash in yesterday’s official test to complete the top five.
Lewis Rollo again showed his pace in the wet conditions to set the sixth fastest time for the IN Competition SENCAT Competition Aprilia team, just dropping out of the top five in the final ten minutes.
Danny Buchan was seventh fastest ahead of Storm Stacey with Leon Haslam and Lee Jackson completing the top ten. Meanwhile Peter Hickman, Ryan Vickers, Andrew and Glenn Irwin, Richard Kerr and Jason O'Halloran completed the top 16.
