Amanuel Brinton threw down the gauntlet to his 2024 R&G British Talent Cup rivals by clocking the quickest time in the final official test at Circuit de Navarra.
Brinton, tipped as the pre-season favourite after finishing third last year despite missing a round, saved his best until last as he banked a 1min 48.796 lap in the final 10 minutes of the last session aboard the Kovara Projects/RS Racing machine.
Team City Lifting/RS Racing rider Filip Surowiak – who had been quickest in Friday’s first session – ended the test second overall and just over half a second adrift of Brinton.
Third quickest was USA rider Julian Correa, with Mason Foster fourth and Ollie Walker fifth.
