The 2024 Bennetts British Superbike Championship build up continues this week with the final R&G pre-season test at Circuito de Navarra ahead of the opening round of the season in Northern Spain this weekend (April 20-21).
The Championship visited the circuit for the first time last year for an Official Test which was topped by the OMG GRILLA Yamaha Racing team and Kyle Ryde. Since then there has been extensive, ongoing improvements to the venue. Works during the first phase have included extensive improvements to the track surface, with new asphalt laid including from the start/finish line to Turn 2 and at Turn 5, leading into Turn 6. The latter has also been reprofiled into an uphill, sweeping and much faster corner, presenting a new challenge for the Bennetts BSB riders. For further information on the updates please click here.
The track action in Spain starts with two days of Bennetts BSB open pitlane testing on Tuesday and Wednesday followed by a shorter session on Thursday morning and testing for the support classes, the Quattro Group British Supersport Championship, the R&G British Talent Cup and the ABK Beer 0% BMW Motorrad F 900 R Cup.
