Omologato Superpole returns to the Bennetts British Superbike Championship round this weekend (July 21/22/23) at Brands Hatch as the top 15 riders in eBay Qualifying push to deliver a one-lap wonder in the intense shootout format for the Omologato Pole Position, deciding the grid positions for the BikeSocial Sprint Race on Saturday afternoon.
The one-lap Omologato Superpole made a Bennetts BSB return last season at Cadwell Park in sensational style as eventual champion Bradley Ray smashed the outright lap record, and also appeared earlier in the season at Donington Park when Kyle Ryde obliterated the lap record.
Next weekend, the iconic qualifying format of the 90s and early 00s marks a comeback before featuring for the final time this season at Cadwell Park over the August Bank Holiday.
The weekend eBay Qualifying format will kick off on Friday with the standard Bennetts BSB Free Practice sessions, both of 40 minutes duration. The top twelve overall from FP1/FP2 combined times will progress directly into the Omologato Superpole starting list.
The remaining riders from P13 and above will take part in the twelve-minute Bennetts BSB eBay Qualifying session, with the top three added to the final Omologato Superpole starting list comprising fifteen riders.
Omologato Superpole begins at 13:15, with riders released in intervals for their out lap, flying lap and cool-down lap. The winner will receive a latest Omologato timepiece for claiming pole position for the BikeSocial Sprint Race.
