The Bennetts British Superbike Championship has extended its partnership with leading motorcycle damage protection specialist R&G for a further three years after a renewed agreement with commercial rights holder MSVR.
The Hampshire-based company enters its ninth consecutive season of association with the championship as an Official Sponsor, with a variety of activations across the season.
The Thruxton weekend will also feature R&G Round sponsorship to showcase a local highlight of the season, with the event titled ‘R&G Race of the South’ at the high-speed Andover circuit.
The pre-season begins with the Official Tests, which carry the R&G title, whilst on-site they will continue to have a presence within the paddock with their Technical Centre, which offers support throughout the events to teams and riders across the championship classes.
On-track branding will be expanded – and later enhanced with the addition of other R&G distributed brands, such as Barkbusters (handguards) and Denali (auxiliary lights).
R&G will also be prominent across the support classes, headlined by the naming rights to the British Talent Cup, the junior series which features on the Road to MotoGP™ programme.
To highlight its versatility, R&G will also support the all-new BMW F 900 R Cup series, with the one-make series featuring the brand’s protection on every bike lining up on the grid. R&G will also feature further within the new class, with the ‘R&G Challenger Series’, a points-scoring competition in the last chance races across the season.
R&G will continue to highlight the upcoming contenders with the renamed R&G ‘Rising Stars Trophy’, a season-long competition open to all the Rookies in the Bennetts BSB class to compare their journey within the Championship.
In addition to the activation during Bennetts BSB events, R&G will provide support to selected MSVT bike track days, offering riders the opportunity to explore the range of products for their motorcycle.
R&G’s Managing Director Simon Hughes said “At R&G we’re passionate about racing and it’s therefore fantastic to solidify our relationship with a Championship that just goes from strength to strength, while supporting the stars of tomorrow.”
Bennetts British Superbike Championship Series Director Stuart Higgs said: “I am delighted to announce the extended partnership with R&G, which continues to be an integral part of the paddock. The sponsorship features some new elements for 2023, with the naming rights for the British Talent Cup and an association with the all-new BMW F 900 R Cup, showing the diversity of the products on offer.
"I am delighted that we can also continue to highlight the rookies with the continuation of the R&G Rising Stars Trophy, especially with four of our support class champions joining the Superbike grid this season.”
