JDR has announced an expansion for the forthcoming season to line up in the HEL British Junior Supersport Championship with Felix Dorling competing on a Kawasaki Ninja 400 in the series.
Dorling wildcarded with the team at the final round of last season, impressively scoring points in his first race, as he continues his family history within the team. The youngster follows in the footsteps of his Father, Drew Dorling who raced in the Superstock class and his Grandfather Neil Dorling, who co-founded the team with Chris Jones.
Dorling said: “I'm super excited to be joining JDR for my first season in the British Junior Supersport Championship after a successful wildcard with them at the final round. I would like to say a big thanks to Chris and Tom for providing me with this opportunity; It's such a great honour to be racing for a team that my late grandfather was so heavily involved in.
“A big thanks to my dad for everything, but also to Kernow Controls and PVF Scaffolding, I wouldn't be on the grid without them. I can't wait to be fighting up at the sharp end, roll on round one.”
Team Owner Chris Jones commented: “We are excited to have Felix on board for a full season with the team. He impressed us at Brands Hatch last season and we are excited to see what he can do this year. All three of our riders for this season will work well to get the results we all deserve.
“Having a Dorling in the team makes perfect sense having worked with our dearly missed Neil Dorling. A huge thanks to our continuing sponsors and new ones in M&A Transport, HHR Performance & TSC Transport.”
