Jason O'Halloran topped the opening Bennetts British Superbike Championship Free Practice session at Cadwell Park this morning, with the Australian and Kyle Ryde lapping in the 1m25s barrier to set a pace under the existing race lap record.
O’Halloran set the fastest lap on his final of the session, putting the McAMS Yamaha team back at the top of the times ahead of Ryde on the LAMI OMG Racing Yamaha with Ryan Vickers completing the top three.
Storm Stacey led the Kawasaki charge in fourth place for the Starline Racing team ahead of Glenn Irwin on the BeerMonster Ducati. Danny Buchan on the SYNETIQ BMW completed the top six times after ending the session with a crash at the Mountain.
Josh Brookes was the fastest of the FHO Racing BMW Motorrad Team riders in seventh place with Lee Jackson in eighth on the Cheshire Mouldings Kawasaki. Christian Iddon and Charlie Nesbitt completed the top ten.
MEDICAL UPDATE: Danny Buchan was taken to the circuit medical centre following his crash in Free Practice 1 and has been transferred to Hull Royal Infirmary for precautionary checks. He will be sidelined for the remainder of the Cadwell Park event
Max Cook will also sit out the remainder of the Cadwell Park event following his crash in yesterday's Official Test after completing two laps in this morning's Free Practice one session.
