Lee Jackson was back on the podium last time out in the Bennetts British Superbike Championship at Thruxton and the Cheshire Mouldings Kawasaki rider is determined to carry the momentum into his home round of Cadwell Park this weekend.
Jackson scored a double podium finish at Thruxton and has previously had podium success at the Lincolnshire venue; the circuit was where he claimed his first Bennetts BSB top three finish.
Jackson said: “Thruxton was finally a solid weekend for me, two seconds and a fifth place was fantastic and we only narrowly missed out on being on the podium in the Saturday race. At the time, I was gutted, but then it only made me come back stronger for Sunday.
“It was a great weekend for us; I went back on the Suter swingarm which is obviously the same as last year and Max stayed on the factory one and both bikes were competitive. I have a great feeling with the bike and really comfortable again. I am looking forward to Cadwell Park now, my home race, and we can get up to speed and get into the weekend nice and smooth.
“I had a great weekend at Thruxton and was pretty much inside the top eight all weekend, and realistically missing out on the win to the Yamaha, but it was still a great weekend for the team and Kawasaki UK to put myself back on the podium before my home round. It has given me a confidence boost now and it gives me even more to look forward to at Cadwell Park.”
