The Ready4Racing Vision Kawasaki team has announced their 2022 line up, competing in the Quattro Group British Supersport Championship with Jamie Perrin, plus Dan Brooks and Chris Johnson in the Pirelli National Junior Superstock Championship with support from Team Green.
Ready4Racing Vision was set-up to help encourage and support younger riders to compete, celebrating their debut win in the Junior Superstock class with Caolan Irwin in 2019. The team also secured six podiums last season with George Stanley, finishing fourth overall in the standings.
Perrin has been competing within the Supersport class for a number of years joins the team on the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R 636. Brooks will have another year on the 600 machine, after making good progress throughout last year. Johnson will make the step from the Junior Supersport class into the Junior Superstock class for his debut season with the Kawasaki ZX-6R 636.
Perrin said: “I’m excited to be joining the R4R Vision Team for 2022, they have given me the opportunity to get back into the Supersport class which is where I have had all my best results in the past. Using the Kawasaki ZX-6R and the team’s knowledge of the bike from running it in the stocks, there is no reason we won’t be fighting for podiums every weekend. I can’t wait for the season to get started.”
Brooks said: “I’m really pleased to be carrying on the journey with the R4R Vision team in 2022. Working with Gino has been great for myself, learning from his experience has been helping me move forward. After a challenging 2021 I know what I need to focus on so I’m grateful for the opportunity to have the consistency with staying with the team and moving closer to our goal. Thank you Elliott, Dan and Gino for keeping me on-board and having the same vision for the future.”
Johnson said: “Words alone can’t express how happy I am for this opportunity with the R4R Vision Team. After witnessing the success of the team in previous years, I’m confident that they will provide me with a competitive package where we can focus on constantly progressing. Currently I am looking forward to testing with Gino and the team in Spain, where I can become more comfortable and improve my riding on the new bike. The best way to thank Elliott, Daniel and Gino is with a strong performance, and that is what I intend to do.”
Elliott Mumford, Team Manager commented: “The R4R Vision team are very proud to announce their partnership with Team Green and to step into the Quattro Group British Supersport Championship with Jamie Perrin as our rider. British Supersport is a fiercely competitive class but we’re confident we have the package and the rider to fight at the front throughout the 2022 season.
“We are pleased to retain Dan for the 2022 Pirelli National Junior Superstock Championship and to welcome onboard a young talent in Chris. Last year Dan joined us as a replacement rider, so he didn’t get any pre-season testing which made it tough. We are confident that with a winter of training and testing he will be at the sharp end of proceedings in 2022.
"We are also excited to start work with Chris who is making a big step up from the 400s. It will be a learning year for him so steady progress is what we are looking for during 2022.
“We’d like to thank especially Team Green, Kawasaki UK, Bournemouth Kawasaki, MSS Kawasaki and DB Race Services and our team partners and sponsors for helping make this project a reality.”
