Christian Iddon topped the times in the opening Bennetts British Superbike Championship SUPERPICKS Free Practice session at Knockhill this afternoon on a damp track to head off Jason O'Halloran and Leon Haslam.
This morning’s rain showers meant that the opening session took place in wet conditions and the times continued to shuffle.
Iddon moved to the top on his final run of the session with less than three minutes on the clock, whilst O’Halloran and Haslam also improved in the final moments to push Tom Sykes back into fourth place.
Sykes had been heading the pack until the last dash improvements, with Tommy Bridewell holding fifth to split the MCE Ducati teammates as Josh Brookes ended the session sixth fastest.
Ryan Vickers also had a spell at the top of the timing screens mid-session on the FHO Racing with Attis Sports, but ended the session seventh ahead of Danny Buchan and Peter Hickman.
Championship leader Bradley Ray completed a nine-lap run at the end of the session to hold tenth place ahead of Lee Jackson on the Cheshire Mouldings FS-3 Racing Kawasaki and Danny Kent who returns from injury this weekend.
