Cook set for second season in HEL Performance British Junior Supersport

08 March 2022

Harry Cook will be back for a second season in the HEL Performance British Junior Supersport Championship, as the 15-year-old returns with Yamaha and is gearing up to build on his debut campaign.

Cook joined the series last year, bagging some points scoring finishes, including a best result of eight place at Donington Park. Now the McAMS Yamaha Junior Team rider from Cambridgeshire is determined to edge closer to the top of the championship chase in 2022.

Cook said: “This is the first time I've ever signed a second year deal with the same manufacturer. I have had a lot of support from Yamaha; it's been amazing even at junior level. I feel part of the Yamaha family with the best technical support from the factory.

“I have trained hard over the winter with my mental approach to this season and also my physical approach. Winter testing has gone well with the first practice being 1.5 seconds under my PB and we have some development still to do.

“I would like to achieve the same as the previous Yamaha riders and friends who have left the championship this season to prove I have what it takes to be at the top level of this sport. It will be difficult, but possible to achieve the goals I have set for 2022. I would like to thank Yamaha and Raceways for their support in the 2022 campaign.”
