Tarran Mackenzie is pumped for the return of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship to Knockhill this weekend (July 10-11) as the McAMS Yamaha rider bids for a repeat performance of his visit to the podium on the last visit to Scotland.
Mackenzie finished second to race-winner Scott Redding back in 2019 after the McAMS Yamaha rider had also led the opening race before the sketchy conditions caught him out. After a strong start to the season at Oulton Park, Mackenzie will be determined to open his podium tally this weekend.
Mackenzie said: "I'm really looking forward to getting back to Knockhill after two years not racing there. It's always been a circuit I've enjoyed racing at and is obviously a home round for me so that makes it special too. It's just a shame there will only be a handful of fans allowed in!
“We had a good start to the season at Oulton Park and the aim now is to build on that. We had a really good test at Knockhill a few weeks back, the R1 was going well so I can't wait to get started on Saturday."
