We've had Tommy in our sights for a long time and I know he'll do a fantastic job for us. He lives for his racing and I'm sure he can take us to the next level and I'm really looking forward to working with him. Whilst we're very serious about competing, we have a relaxed approach to racing and I'm sure Tommy will feel at home in our team. You could say we're the small team with big ambitions and we aim to continue our success this year.

The Quay Garage Honda team were formed towards the end of the 2003 season, when James Buckingham competed in the BSB Cup. In 2004 the team had their first full assault on the title, with Buckingham taking fourth in the overall standings and securing a double race win at Mondello Park.

In 2005 Buckingham was able to take the title, racking up 13 race wins and several top ten finishes in the overall championship. The following year Buckingham was back to defend his title and was leading when he suffered a heavy crash and broke his leg which forced him out of the remainder of the season. He was still able to retain fourth in the Cup standings despite only finishing ten races, eight of which he won.

In 2007 Buckingham was almost back to full fitness and was able to secure six race wins and a further nine podiums on his way to taking second place in the overall championship standings.

Last year Buckingham was set to start the season, but decided to hang up his leathers and was replaced by Gary Mason, who immediately made an impact on the Championship when he joined the squad at Donington Park. With eight wins and four podiums Mason took third in the overall standings despite missing the opening three rounds.

In 2009 Mason returned for a full season with the team following his impressive previous season and took 18 race victories on his way to regaining the title the team last won in 2005.

For 2010 the team have signed Tommy Bridewell who took the challenge to Mason in several races the previous season. The reigning BSB Cup champions are also gearing up to fight for the main BSB crown.
