The return of "Junior Superstock" in 2008 proved highly popular with teams and riders enjoying the benefits of tightly regulated, budget friendly no-holds barred racing. Full grids of aspiring competitors ensured that the championship has bolstered the careers of some of the country's newest talents. 2008 champion Lee Johnston is currently in his second Supersport season, having enjoyed some strong finishes in his rookie year and reigning champion Jamie Hamilton looks set to follow a similar route.
The 2010 entry list is again filling fast with many new names progressing from the ranks of top flight club racing as well as those that are returning for a second year including Jimmy Hill, Matt Bilton, Luke Stapleford and ACU Academy Cup winner Tim Hastings.
