Paul Young charged from the back of the grid to take the Last Chance Qualifier win by more than six seconds over FHO Racing’s Kate Walker.
Following an off yesterday, the Aussie was forced to start the eight-lapper from 16th on the grid, but after a strong start he scythed through the pack and was up to third by lap four.
A lap later he passed leader Walker and quickly pulled out a gap, eventually crossing the line 6.082secs ahead of Walker, as Tyler Viveiros was third, Charlie Hopkins fourth and Gary Ford fifth.
